Terms & Conditions & Refund Policy

1. Introduction

By enrolling in any programme offered through The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma (CoECT), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy. Acceptance is required before completing payment.

2. Statement of Understanding

I hereby affirm that, to the best of my knowledge, the information provided in this enrolment application is true and complete. I agree to notify the Course Leader or my allocated Learning Support Tutor at The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma in a timely manner if any of the information provided changes.

I understand that CoECT, or its authorised representatives, may contact me or any referees or additional contacts provided in my application to obtain further information where required.

3. Study Commitment

I understand that, in order to achieve the qualification, I am expected to fully engage with all learning materials, workshops, and tutor support provided throughout the programme.

I acknowledge that my enrolment and continued access to learning resources is dependent upon maintaining prompt payment of the agreed course fees.

4. Course Fees and Payment Plans

The course fee represents the total cost of the qualification. Where a payment plan is selected, it is provided solely as a method of spreading the cost of the full course fee and does not represent payment per module, workshop, or level of participation.

By enrolling, I agree to pay the full course fee. Withdrawal, non-attendance, or failure to complete the programme does not cancel my obligation to pay any outstanding balance.

Course fees are non-refundable once enrolment has been confirmed and access to course materials, workshops, or learning support has been provided.

Failure to maintain payments in line with the agreed schedule may result in suspension or removal from the programme. CoECT reserves the right to revoke access to the learning platform, workshops, and tutor support until payments are brought up to date.

All decisions made by the Directors of CoECT regarding payment arrangements and access are final.

5. Cooling-Off Period and Digital Access

I acknowledge that the programme includes immediate access to digital learning materials, workshops, and tutor support delivered via an online learning platform.

I expressly consent to receiving immediate access upon enrolment. I understand that accessing any course materials, workshops, or tutor support waives my statutory 14-day cooling-off right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

6. Refund Policy (September Cohort Enrolments)

1. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

Learners may request a full refund within 14 days of enrolment, provided they have not accessed any course content.

2. After 14 Days

After the 14-day cooling-off period, all fees are non-refundable, as your place on the September cohort is reserved and administrative processes begin immediately.

3. Course Access

Course content unlocks on 1 September. Accessing any course materials removes the right to a refund, even within the 14-day cooling-off period.

4. Exceptional Circumstances

Refunds outside the cooling-off period may be considered in exceptional circumstances (e.g., serious illness or bereavement). Evidence may be requested. Approval is at the discretion of CoECT.

5. Transfers

Learners may request to transfer to the next available cohort instead of withdrawing. A transfer fee may apply.

7. Payment Plan Acknowledgement and Waiver of Claims

By enrolling and selecting the checkbox on the payment page, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to all Terms & Conditions and the Refund Policy.

I acknowledge that I am committing to the full course fee, and that any payment plan is provided solely as a method of spreading the cost.

I understand that withdrawal, non-attendance, or failure to complete the programme does not cancel any outstanding balance.

I agree that I will not make claims, request refunds, or initiate chargebacks for payments already made or scheduled under the agreed payment plan.
